About

With the pandemic changing how many practitioners viewed the role of digital in their personal pedagogy, it is essential that we do not allow the momentum towards integrating digital tools into education to slow down. As such, the Improving the Digital Understanding and Capability of Educators Online Training aims to support practitioners, at whatever stage of their digital journey, to develop the essential skills required to support them in developing their digital literacy using a personalised approach to learning. Throughout the day lead trainer Fiona Aubrey-Smith will dissect misconceptions about digital capability, the role that it plays within teaching and learning, and how to embed this into your personal pedagogy to maximise the effectiveness of your teaching.

Adopting a personalised approach to learning, the Improving the Digital Capability of Educators Online Training aims to support practitioners, at whatever stage of their digital journey, to develop the essential skills required to support them in developing their digital literacy. Throughout the day delegates will be joined by Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith to unpack what is meant by digital capability, the role that it plays within teaching and learning, and how to embed this into your personal pedagogy to maximise the effectiveness of your teaching.

Note: You will be given the training materials so that you can repeat this course with colleagues in your own school as an INSET / series of twilight staff meetings. Each session will use digital tools and ideas so that we are ‘walking the walk’ through the training day itself.
