Overview
The Future of English Teaching Forum will provide an opportunity to discuss best practice teaching and learning, curriculum delivery and assessments, for both English Language and Literature, across Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 5 (KS5). Sector leaders and expert bodies will share successful professional development methods for secondary school staff teaching English, and discuss key issues facing the profession.
In addition, a range of outstanding practitioners will share proven ways of raising standards of English teaching through innovative teaching methods, diversifying the curricula, and increasing pupils’ engagement in their own learning. The impact of the pandemic, and how to overcome related challenges around learning, will be a key theme throughout, considering how to ensure pupils at KS4 and KS5 reach their full potential and are able to demonstrate skills and knowledge.
