Introducing PlatformED

IG Schools is proud to partner with PlatformED to support its community by providing a brand-new and free-to-access content-sharing platform for Schools, Multi-Academy Trusts, Colleges, Local and Central Government and wider education providers in the UK. IG Schools is an official partner of PlatformED, meaning that all delegates at our events will receive invitations to join the online community, share best-practice and connect with like-minded colleagues. The aim of PlatformED is to provide educators and school leaders across the UK with an area to access advice and tips from peers, education leaders and policy makers in the form of live Q&As, webinars, podcasts, blogs and white papers. Users on the platform can share their own content, ask questions, discuss school challenges and seek opinion and guidance from other users. To help make the platform user friendly, the content available is broken down into groups, including eight free-to-access, themed groups and a collection of subscription-based groups from PlatformED partners, such as ISBL, the Schools & Academies Show, IG Schools and more.

Testimonials

I found this a great environment to build links with teachers and to stimulate debate with others. The ideas that came out of these discussions and from best practice will have a direct effect on Teaching and Learning in my school.

Attended Online SEND Conference 2020 - I would opt for online again…as I only work part time and have health needs so this is more flexible and far less exhausting than a trek to London. The (content) was incredibly useful.
SENCOSENCO - North West Kent Alternative Provision Service
An excellent way to glean information from experts and fellow practitioners, and to network too. Great to have a chance to have question and answer sessions too.

Attended Online SEND Conference 2020 - As a new SENCO in September the conference provided a valuable overview of the role. The case studies given were relevant and coupled with the additional reading lists, I now feel more confident with the new role.

I came away from the day not only with an enriched sense of what character education looks like, but also of why it is so important to teach in schools. Great speakers, good venue, and a positive experience all round.

A interesting and insightful day, listening to a range of knowledgeable speakers with varied backgrounds in the delivery of primary MFL across school. I was especially interested in listening to the trends of teaching MFL to young learners and the requirements of the new OFSTED framework. It has challenged me and inspired me to look at my teaching of MFL.
