Steven Cammiss is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Birmingham Law School. His research interests are in courtroom processes and policing. He has recently completed, with Professor Sally Kyd of the University of Leicester, an empirical research project, funded by the Road Safety Trust, on roads policing. This examines the experiences of vulnerable road users and police decision making for cases of careless driving, dangerous driving and using a mobile telephone whilst driving (‘Promoting Safety for Vulnerable Road Users: Assessing the Investigation and Enforcement of Endangerment Offences). Steven is also a member of Leicestershire’s OPCC’s Ethics Integrity and Complaints Committee.
