Currently the Director of Marketing and External Relations for Edinburgh Napier University, he leads a 360-degree integrated team responsible for all the marketing, digital, events, PR, reputation, brand, Alumni and fundraising development functions for the #1 modern university in Scotland. Napier recently took top place for overall student satisfaction of all Edinburgh universities.
The architect of multiple award winning unique brand, PR, media, experiential and social media creatives to deliver substantial brand growth in the luxury sector. A proven leader in intelligent, emotional and product-rich storytelling. Wide experience in strategic planning, leading the development of communications and branding initiatives.
A proven international track record of cultivating strong relationships and leading teams in the successful execution of complex communications and event programs. He is a champion of impact metrics for brand reach, RoI, appeal and influence for communications and advancement activities. Prior to Edinburgh Napier he was Director of Brand Experiences and Corporate Communications at Mercedes-Benz USA based in New York.
He is an alumnus of Edinburgh Napier and was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University in 2003 for his services in building and extending Napier’s USA networks and outreach.
