James Brown

President - Vision Zero Youth Council Manchester
Confirmed

James Brown has recently graduated with a first class honours LLB Law Degree, and is President of Vision Zero Youth Council Manchester.

A strong believer in civic engagement and public consultation in policy matters, he leads the Manchester Chapter of Vision Zero to push forward road safety initiatives and practices. The leading cause of death amongst young people is road traffic injuries, and James recognises the importance of mobilising young people to make sure this alarming statistic is something of the past.

In the future, James wishes to continue his study of law and policy, specifically pursuing legal research on human rights. He believes that road safety is pertinent to human rights and that engaging young people is key to fulfilling a safer environment on our roads today and in the future.

He strives for young people to be given a seat at the decision making table via the establishment of youth task forces for road safety and infrastructure policy.
