Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Education at Wrexham Glyndŵr University

Claire has executive oversight for learning and teaching, the student experience and civic mission at Wrexham Glyndŵr University. Previously she was Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at St Mary’s University, London and also held senior roles at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln.

Claire is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds an Advance HE Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence. She is a Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Professional Affiliate Member of the Chartered College of Teaching. She has been a UK Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Assessor and Panel member and currently sits on the Office for Students TEF Advisory Group. Claire is a member of UKSCQA, the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment, HEFCW’s Student Opportunity and Achievement Committee, JISC Learning Analytics Cymru Steering Group and is Chair of Universities Wales Learning and Teaching Network.
