Samantha Callan

Director - Family Hubs Network
Dr Samantha Callan is a published academic and policy expert in the fields of family relationships, early years, family law, mental health, domestic abuse and offender rehabilitation. Previously she was Associate Director at the Centre for Social Justice and Special Adviser for Family and Society in the Conservative Policy Unit (prior to the 2010 general election).
She is currently Parliamentary Adviser to Lord Farmer, with whom she founded the Family Hubs Network: an infrastructure organisation to help grow and give shape to the burgeoning movement of family support hubs which, partly as a result of their advocacy, are opening around the country. The Family Hubs Network provides a learning environment where local authorities and their partners can learn from each other how best to support families and prevent family breakdown.
