Professor Katherine Linehan

Pro-Vice Chancellor for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion - University of Nottingham

Professor Katherine Linehan is Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the University of Nottingham.  Prior to her current appointment she worked at the University of Sheffield for 18 years.  There she held dual roles of Professor of Anatomical Education and Deputy Lead for EDI for the institution.  Katherine moved into leadership positions in EDI as a result of her extensive work with students with disabilities and neurodiversity in higher education and it was her work on creating inclusive learning experiences that won her an Advance HE National Teaching Fellowship in 2019.  Katherine is herself disabled having sacral nerve damage and fibromyalgia.
