Growth Hub Manager - South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership

Vicky is the Growth Hub Manager at SEMLEP (South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership). As a public-private partnership, steered by a business led board, their role as a Local Enterprise Partnership is to help economic growth thrive across the South East Midlands including Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Vicky manages the SEMLEP Growth Hub which provides support to approximately 2000 businesses a year, including a team of dedicated business advisers, a programme for scale up businesses and various initiatives including grants to help businesses to recover from COVID19.The recent focus of the Growth Hubs activity has been around helping businesses to recover from the impacts of COVID19, helping businesses to prepare for EU Exit, as well as working closely with BEIS, sharing local business intelligence to help inform the business response.

Vicky has worked in the business support arena for over ten years.  She is passionate about business growth and investing time in businesses and supporting them in their development. Her experience spans a number of aspects of business support including securing and running European funded programmes to help businesses, designing initiatives to support high growth businesses, business consultancy and running her own business.

Her experience spans the public sector, private sector and charity sector and includes international experience – having spent six years of her career in South Africa. She is a strong believer in partnership working and bringing the best people and organisations together to support businesses.
