Overview

In light of the Grenfell Tower fire and other recent events, fire safety remains a high priority for social housing providers as the government commits to reforming building safety and developing better procedures to keep tenants safe.

This interactive Fire Safety in Housing training course will provide practical training for housing providers, bringing them up to date with the necessary policy developments, regulations and safety requirements. All participants will finish the day equipped with practical tools to implement a comprehensive fire safety programme within their organisation.

Learning Outcomes

  • Analyse the latest regulatory changes, including recent flammable cladding ban and the consequences and impact they will have on your organisation

  • Clarify what you are accountable for and understanding shared responsibilities throughout the building’s lifecycles

  • Review and clarify your responsibilities and roles in ensuring fire safety in high rise buildings

  • Understand how to effectively communicate with tenants and respond to safety complaints

  • Discuss with your peers what an effective fire safety strategy looks like and consequently create an effective fire safety programme for your organisation
