Overview

Digital Champions encourage and empower staff to use digital tools more effectively and are central to achieving digital inclusion and helping people online.

This course focuses on digital change and the role that Digital Champions play in this. Digital change is a multifaceted process that includes strategic business thinking, technology and organisational culture & people.

Amidst this change, it is important to retain a person-centred approach to transformation – putting people first. The role of a Digital Champion is an important agent in this change. Digital Champions function as ambassadors, advocates for end-users and support the learning and development of digital skills and literacy to reduce digital exclusion.

Leave the day with an action plan that enables digital change and embed yourself as a Digital Champion within your workplace.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the types of challenges digital change presents for people and how Digital Champions can help to overcome these.

  • Understand what digital inclusion and exclusion means and be able to identify and overcome barriers to exclusion.

  • Adopt strategies to bridge the digital skills gap

  • Develop an action that plan incorporates a people-centred focus in digital change and embeds Digital Champions in the workplace.
